Part 1 of my White-Tailed Kite series back at Half Moon Bay.
Finally, the sun light came to lit up my kite.

1D IV + 500mm F4. 1/3200. �/6.3. ISO 400 @ 500 mm

great stuff tam, just gorgeous! 1/2 moon is such a good place to shoot raptors, these make me wish i could spend more than 1 week every 3 years there!

Thanks LandPirate, anh Thang, Dorian, Tim (tfoltz) for checking out my post. No doubt that HMB is a great place for raptor from WTK, RTH, RSH, Grey Ghost and some have seen Barn owl..... We all love that place.

Hope this year the population of those raptors increasing and we can get better shots..

Wonderful shots, Tam. There is so much power to images of raptors in flight; the white tailed kites are among the most beautiful of those.

Those eyes are so striking. Many birds have bright and colorful eyes, but WT Kites kick up the effect to another level. Lovely set Tam, and a great job in capturing those eyes.
