I thought about a square crop but I wanted to show the clear cuts behind it as well. These stumps are approximately 7-8ft, 2m high. They were chopped down in the early 1900ís to salvage the wood before flooding the area for a reservoir. So not a typical northwest clear cut operation but they left the stumps in place. Over the years of flooding and drying out these stumps have lost their bark and have even moved locations. They range in color from a dusty gray/brown to rust red depending on the moisture in the air. I think it would be a wonderful area for an environmental art nude or cosplay photo project.
