p.1 #1 · Red-Tailed Hawk soaring above

*disclaimer: I am by no means a birder, so don't be too harsh on me

I was out for a walk with my sister and the dogs today when I saw a pair of Red-tailed hawks. They weren't big fans of us and swooped down for a closer look. This gave me a great view as they soared so slow and gave me a great view of their wingspans.

Anyway, I can't decide which is my favorite so please tell me which yours is (I won't tell you which one I'm leaning towards as I don't want to skew you)

Happy shooting,

Andy

Thanks Don, that's where I was leaning too. And seeing them all right next to each other sealed the deal for me.

Cheers!

I would pick # 1 as I find the tree branches distracting my eyes away from the beautifully captured RTH. If # 1 was cropped in a tad closer I think you would have a real keeper!!

Another nit noy for me is that signatures on a photo always distract my attention as well.

2 for sure! You are just going to have to spring for the big lens - Pope Francis was photographed with a 1200-1800 Nikkor zoom -weighs in a 40 pounds!

Thanks everyone for the kind words, there is one I didn't post yet and it's of the other hawk. Less distractions in the frame and you really can see the beautiful colors
