prashant Offline • • Upload & Sell: Off p.1 #1 · Lenses for D600? Got a kit 24-85VR, which is a decent lens. I have had 24mm/35mmSHIFT Olympus for Canon which I can use on D600, I guess. However I may have budget for couple of primes (more 1.8 than 1.4 budget!), which one do you recommend? For Canon I have 24mmTSE I which I will miss. However can not afford TS at the moment. 70-200/4L - will for sure miss!!! 85mm/1.8. And the olympus ones mentioned above Mar 13, 2013 at 05:17 PM

Your order might vary depending on what you want. Nikon 24-85mm f3.5-4.5G VR Nikon 50mm f1.8G Nikon 85mm f1.8G Nikon 28mm f1.8G Nikon 70-300mm f4.5-5.6G VR or 70-200mm f4 VR Nikon 60mm f2.8G Micro (if you macro shots) This would cover the bases for you. Those are one of the best values in the Nikon lineup so congrats! The 60 is the sharpest lens I've yet to try. I would recommend the Sigma 35 1.4 but you have that FL almost covered with the 28 1,8g. I highly recommend trying out manual AI-AIS lenses, especially the 105 2.5 AIS, the 28 2/8 AIS & the 50 1.2 AIS. Those have legendary status for a reason and they go really cheap here on the B&S forum. Here's "the thread", every time I browse it I reach for my pocket http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/929565 For a budget telephoto the 70-300 VR is decent, the Tamron 70-300 VC is on the same level if not better. I shoot the following lenses with the D600 24-70mm kit lens that came with it 70-300 ED AF zoom the rest are manual focus 20mm f3.5 AIS 24mm f2.8 AIS 50mm f1.8 AIS 85mm f1.4 (Rokinon) 105mm f2.5 AI'd 135mm f2.8 AI'd 300mm f4.5 AI-IF ED and I am thinking of adding a 14mm Rokinon, a 16mm fisheye Nikkor and a 50 f1.2 Nikkor to the camera bag. None of my MF lenses are chipped, but you can program the body and just use a quick button dial combo to tell it what's mounted. Mar 16, 2013 at 07:33 PM
