Really like the first of these! The fog makes it!

p.1 #3 · Verrazano Bridge

Thanks, Douglas... I was driving by, had no plans to stop, then I saw the fog... I may try to process one differently, but the original idea was to make the bridge almost disappear in the fog... then the sun really went down and things turned orange and plans changed, but one thing is for sure... I am really enjoying this aspect of photography!

This may sound strange, but I don't like the second as much because the curves of the bridge are not nearly as sexy... I may crop off a lot of the left side of the picture because I feel like it makes her look fat. One was 14mm, the other I think was 85, and it gives a good illustration of the differences in perspective... I think I need to get a 35mm of some form... 50 was too inbetween and my 28-70 needs a little nikon TLC.

And I prefer the second one also. Excellent image, I particularly like the arc the roadway creates shooting across the river from blue light to orange light. If you insist on cropping the left, I would only crop out the orange-lit shore line (actually I'd probably trying cloning it out first).

My vote is for number 1 as well. After your description of the two shots I can see what you mean by the curves being more appealing in the first shot.

Also, I am really enjoying your bridge series and looking forward to seeing some more.

I agree I prefer the first photo for comp but both came out nice. I just started really digging my heals in and trying to get these types of shots right. Just posted a bridge shot myself. Let me know what you think.
My opinion is the second has potential with a different crop. The bride spire is centered a bit too much for my eyes. Otherwise it could work out to be better with some fine tuning.
Nice work.

Fantastic composition and colour in the first one and I like the green reflected light in the second one, well done.
