Much harder to work with "new" camera files, specially since Apple Aperture didn't support Nex-6 files. Had to process photos with Raw Photo Processor (RPP). I didn't do any cropping or image modifications except sensor dust removal in 2nd one - just concentrated to colours - since I haven't been Tenerife didn't have reference what how the colors, for example pine needles, look like there.
1. create 16-bit TIFF with RPP
2. with ImageMagick to resize 1280 wide using Lanczos interpolation
3. in PhotoShop convert to gamma 1 colorspace
4. in PhotoShop USM 0.2px, 500% (if somebody figures out how to do exactly this in ImageMagick please let me know, in my normal script this is only part what is done outside ImageMagick for my 5DmkII files)
5. in PhotoShop convert to sRGB and change mode to 8-bit
6. in PhotoShop save to JPG
(7. remove embedded thumbnail and some non-needed header stuff, which is 50-200kb, from JPG with CocoThumbX)
Very hard image to work with - extreme underexposure and noise made it really hard to extract correct colour and detail.
1. create 5pcs 16-bit TIFFs with RPP (exposure -1, 0, +1, +2, +3 EV)
2. with PhotoMatix Pro to create HDR, save to 16-bitt TIFF
3. in PhotoShop adjust levels and removed dust from sensor
4. with ImageMagick to resize 1280 wide using Lanczos interpolation
5. in PhotoShop convert to gamma 1 colorspace
6. in PhotoShop USM 0.2px, 500% (if somebody figures out how to do exactly this in ImageMagick please let me know, in my normal script this is only part what is done outside ImageMagick for my 5DmkII files)
7. in PhotoShop convert to sRGB and change mode to 8-bit
8. in PhotoShop save to JPG
(9. remove embedded thumbnail and some non-needed header stuff, which is 50-200kb, from JPG with CocoThumbX)
