I think D600 is WAY overpriced for what it is. I've been shooting weddings for the past year with a D300 and D5100. My slowest lenses are f2.8. I've had no problem getting the shots with the D5100 and lenses like Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR. The VR really works well for me. If the lens didn't have VR, I'd be having big problems with sharpness. My main complaint with the D5100 is the focus point selector won't lock down. It's really easy to have it move off your subject and you don't realize it. The other thing I don't like about the D5100 is I don't have all the CLS capability of my SB-900. I guess by the time I'm getting my flash off camera, I'm using manual flash and CyberSync triggers anyway. I'm planning on getting a D7100 and will have a D5200 as backup. Weddings are a business. My strategy is to put as little $$ into equipment as I can get by with, to maximize my profits. I think the D7100 is the perfect camera for this. I'm betting a D7100 will outperform a D700 at ISO 3200, and might even tie the D600 (at about half the price!) Like others above, I REALLY like the idea of dual cards. I have had card failure before. Fortunately, not during a wedding.
Another thing to conside is the D7100 has a much improved AF over the D600. I think it may have passed the D600 up.
