Top two do the bulk of the heavy lifting.

same, minus 85 1.2 (still dreaming about it)
plus 15mm fish - don't see many FMers use it lately..out of fashion?

Most often 35/85, with some 24 for getting ready, some 50 if 85 is too long, and some 16-35 for environments or dress shots. 70-200 only for the ceremony, although it's a very functional lens for other things (just too heavy and I don't want or need to carry it). 15mm fisheye for a few select photos. I really never use 135 for weddings anymore, 85mm is long enough for everything that doesn't need the 70-200.

I could easily shoot without 50 and either 24 or 16-35, but I need 24 OR 16-35 for wide angles. 16-35 ends up having a little more utility although the IQ comparatively sucks. Both wide lenses track well, 50 is erratic for tracking sometimes. I am looking into a migration to a possible pair of refurb 5d3s after I sell off two 5d2s and the d800 kit, so the focus "should" be better.

16mm f/2.8
17-35mm f/2.8
35mm f/2
24-70mm f/2.8
50mm f/1.4G
50mm f/1.8G
60mm f/2.8 AF
85mm f/1.4G
85mm f/1.8G
70-200mm f/2.8 VR2

What do I actually use? 80% of my stuff is done with my 85mm f/1.4G. Then I use my 35 f/2 probably 5% of the time. 70-200 5% of the time. And then the other lenses as necessary.

I'm looking at all the Nikon vs Canon websites incidentally linked to profiles from this gear list thread to see if I can identify color profile differences :F I sure noticed a big difference between skin tones in my Canon vs Nikon files, so I'm checking to see if it really exists or if I'm just hallucinating...and also whether or not I like them.

BTW, I rather like the bokeh in the baby-in-swing photo on John Gibson's website. Which lens is that? I know the Nikon 85 f/1.8g doesn't have those distinct bokeh highlight rings like that (mine doesn't)...

Same for Michael James' http://michaeljamesphotostudio.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/MJP-004021.jpg - 50 f/1.4g. I like that bokeh better than anything else I've seen of Nikon's...

35L 85L mainly.

Just picked up the 70-200 2.8 IS II so will add that into the mix, especially for ceremony.

100L macro for ring shots

Siggy 85 1.4 for backup.

40mm 2.8 pancake for walk around.

Nikon:

either 35/2.0 (great little beast, very fast AF and great close up) + 85/1.4D (love that both have aperture rings)

or

28/1.8 and 50/1.4D (because of superior AF compares to the G or Sigma)

Leica:

35/1.4 FLE and Voigtländer 50/1.1

Lots of nice lineups here...good to know what everyone is working with!

I just updated my lens kit today:
Canon 24L II, Sigma 35mm 1.4, Sigma 85mm 1.4, and Canon 135L
That should get me started for now

From my experience with Sigma and other off-brands, I can't figure out why they find their place so often in wedding setups. The tracking system of any sigma I've ever used never keeps up with moving subjects, and I used to get frustrated by that all the time. I'll use their 15mm fisheye though, since it has such a narrow focus range and I only use it on static subjects anyway...but otherwise, even the good one-shot focusing sigma lenses don't seem to be able to keep up with moving targets.

Those of you using the 35, are you using full frame bodies?

Nikon all the way:

24-70
70-200 VR1
85 1.8G with tubes (rings, details)
50 1.8G (backup)

Sold everything else to keep it as simple as possible. I HATE switching lenses mid-shoot.

I use the Sigma 35 1.4 on a 5DII for the majority of the day. I like to keep a 24-70 and 70-200 close at hand in case I need some versatility. My wife normally is using a 17-55 2.8 on a 40D. Sometimes I will have an 85 of some variety with me as well.

I have other lenses as well but the regular wedding kit is:

Leica: 12mm, 21mm, 35mm, 50mm, 90mm, 135mm

Olympus: 12-35, 60 macro, 75mm.

Most used: Leica with the 50mm and 135 and the Oly with a 12-35.
