p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Waterproof Housing for Sony RX1

I have a photo shoot coming up in Iceland, and instead of lugging my D800e with a housing into pools, it would be great to just have the RX1.

I don't intend on shooting under water, but I will be in the water a lot. There's a 100% chance I accidentally put the camera under water.

I'd like to get a housing or case of some sort, but obviously there's no such housing made specifically for the RX1 (at least not yet, maybe not ever?). Is there a generic one that you guys have found that would fit? I can compromise not going full manual and shooting in aperture priority if I don't have access to ISO/Shutter.

Thanks!

lol, I'm sure it would fit in one, but a $2.8K device in a ziplock bag over water isn't as favorable sounding right now =)

I realize this is an old thread, but now that the RX1 series has been out for a while now, has there been any development in affordable waterproof housings? I'm looking for something to allow me to photograph fly fishing situations. Not totally submersed, but protected from splashes or an accidental dunking.

Has anyone used the Dicapac housings? Obviously, I don't want to trust a $3300 camera to a ziplock bag.
