I'm in a situation in my studio photography that I could really use an HDMI monitor to view images and more importantly, preview images for fine focus. I'm shooting with a Nikon D7000 and I have a very very tight budget. Can anyone suggest an HDMI monitor that will be perfect for this type of photography?
I picked up a 7" Lilliput but the image quality was lacking.
So I sent it back and tried the Camax H056.
It not only has a higher resolution than the Camera LCD but also focus peaking.

If it's for the studio and you will be hooking up your camera to the monitor with a HDMI cable then just get a small HD tv (15-20") for about $100-$150.

Looks nice; they just need to make an EN-EL15 battery plate... if they did I'd buy the 7" OLED for field use. A folding hood more suitable for field use (that can stay on the display for protection while in a bag) would be nice too, but there are reasonable options for this elsewhere.
I use a Swivi 7" monitor sometimes. The resolution is poor but it has a feature that highlights areas of greatest contrast (i.e. sharpness) so that it becomes pretty easy to see what is best focused even without having full resolution.
Certainly not a great solution for reviewing images.
DavidHoltJr idea is the real winner here. I have done that for a couple of years. I also use a cheap portable DVD player with a HDMI input port that I picked up at Walmart $80 for some field work. Anything that has HDMI inputs or as suggested getting an adapter for DVI_D is the cost effective way to go if all your looking for is a larger LCD viewer.
