Nice, BRI does look like an awesome option. Any particular album type stand out from the rest?
Also, what's the best paper to allow guests to write messages without smearing? Do you guys like to put lines in your templates to encourage guests to write on, or just white space? Any pics would be greatly appreciated.
We use VisionArt Dulce books as guest sign-in books and really love them. We have our clients use fine tip Sharpies and they don't smear at all. No lines, just white space. Here's a link to photos of our sample album:

Don't get pearl paper. Just get regular press paper.

We use Black River as well and their costumer service is excellent! The sign in books that we use cost us $6000000 to make through Black River
Yo ...morby
just an FYI ... this is a public forum. try not to list prices for our(professional) cost for product.
I am looking to use black river, vision art or millers.
BRI press books with the photo cover are really nice. 6 color printing is very good on these. Just make sure you use the linen or art or whatever they call it paper to avoid smudges.
here is what you need to know about the BRI book, get the ART paper for signing, it is very nice and accept signatures very well. I did one with the hinged lay flat pages and canvas cover, everyone LOVED it same as someone else mentioned a ultra fine tip sharpie was perfect.
Honestly, at the wedding, when I walk by the book I flip it open to a different page so people spread their signatures around. I once designed a fabulous Finao album and everyone crammed their signature in to the first page. I also used different prompts through word art like " kind words" or " advice for the newlyweds". It made people write on that specific page!
