Hi,

I have just bought an Epson L800 photo printer. When I use the Easy Photo Print program to print everything is okay. But when I try to print from Photoshop it is a nightmare. The printer manage colors setting gives a bit " HDR " effect to the printed photo, photoshop manage colors produces overcontrasted photos with high level blacks.
What is the correct setting to print from PS?

you cannot have PS and your printer color manage at the same time you must choose which one you want to use in the print option screen. this is the screen from PS6

I let Qimage manage color. I found the Photoshop print widow almost as complex and unintelligble as the IRS tax codes.

Let PS manage Color. Use Perceptual rendering. Then go to print settings and turn off color management. Choose ICM for your ICC Profile. Choose the correct paper here for the Epson profile you are using. This does it. After many lost sheets and empty ink carts. This is how its done with an Epson. Hope this helps.
