Do I still need to send to canon for a replacement? If i put a lens on and look through the view finder I dont see the scratches only if i take the lens off and look through it and I see stratches.

Just had this happen. Focusing screen is pretty soft. If you poke around someone will tell you how you can replace it. However, since it's under warranty, Let Canon do it this time. Mine got some dust on it because I changed lenses a lot in the wind. The I took the blower brush to it and that made it worse. Condensed air made it worse still. Canon turns this around in 7 days, but the shipping is steep if you but insurance. Like I said, we need to do this by ourselves soon enough, bit right now it's under warranty

Sounded like Rob had a fair point. If you can't see the scratches with a lens on, why does it matter? Is it really worth giving up your camera for a week and risking damage in the post or Canon screwing it up?

did canon repair made it worst after you had them replace the part? Like any cosmetic scratches to your exterior body or make your camera worst?
