I've been using a pair of old Duracell 30 minute chargers the last few years because every 15 minute charger I've used (half dozen or so) have damaged the batteries at a much faster rate. Can anyone recommend a good charger that will not damage so fast?

I'm using the Powerex with Eneloops and I've been very happy with it.

2 things I like about it:

1) Charges each battery individually.

2) Fully drains the battery before recharging.

It can refresh batteries, charge individually, and change charging rate. Pretty solid charge and won't break the bank.

What you need is a charger with a slower charging rate, which is better for long-term battery life. A charging rate of 500mA is good. It won't be a "fast charge".

I have the LaCrosse and the one Inku/awad linked above. Both work equally well. The LaCrosse is built better, but the other one can charge 16 batteries at a time. It also refreshes batteries, which can take a long time (10+ hours) so being able to do 16 at once is a pretty big deal.

I looked at a lot of battery chargers before I decided on one. Being able to charge 32 batteries using only 2 chargers was key for me. Being able to refresh 32 batteries using 2 chargers was awesome.
