p.1 #1 · why do we want to strip off exif data

When I post a picture, I show exif data. But I notice, some don't want to show it. I wonder why.
MOst people in these forums want to see beautiful pictures but are also curious about the technical aspect. Do I miss some thing here?
Longtime ago I did strip off the data, just because I could. But since occasionnally, I was asked to show it, So since longtime I always show it. No one needs to ask for it.

p.1 #2 · why do we want to strip off exif data

I believe some people may have location info embedded in EXIF, and do not wish to disclose those locations.

Depending on the software you use, EXIF may not come along

p.1 #4 · why do we want to strip off exif data

Some people have no idea about exif data. When you "save for web", the info is stripped. If you didn't know any better, it would seem that would be the way to safe an image. After all, it's going on the web... ~ Ron
