These are from a few weeks ago, pretty sticky But you take what nature gives you some times. This guy hung around the river for 3 weeks and then was gone, fun while it lasted
Great shots. I like 1 and 3. I've noticed some Barred Owls are pretty tame like this. I once was this close to one. He was on a very low branch overhanging the trail in front of me and the vegetation was so thick there was no way to cut around, so I walked right under him (took a few iphone pics), and he never moved. He continued to hang out and hunt in the area, very close to me and seemed to care less that I was there. I was kicking myself that day for not having my camera!!
I just saw my first of the year last Thursday - I was working and didn't have my gear though. A nice set Randy. It's 1 for me, and the last one is neat ~ Ron

Thanks Ashley, I know the feeling, now I try and have some type of camera with me at all times

Thanks Tim, that is another photog that was shooting with me, the owl flew right at him and landed right over his shoulder. Stayed there for about 15 minutes, crazy.
