Something very weird going on in the first image, to the right top...and the left side top area...
my first thought on #1 was WOW...but then noticed the pasti-ness..

love the mood of #2.

Hey Bob,

I remember your posting #1 before, you still need to start over I think on that one. The sharp edges between the clouds and Bridalveil really need to get totally removed. Also the hard edge on the left side along the cloud edge. It looks like you used a selection to process the clouds seperately from the rest of the shot but that you forgot to feather the selection so that it would blend in better. That one will be super cool once you reprocess that to lose those hard edges.

Now #2... I remember that view! I was shooting only about 20 feet away from you on that day. You did really well with this one. I like the misty moodiness of it. I am working on processing my shot from the next morning at sunrise. I think you decided to shoot the sunrise from Tunnel View instead right?

Jim, there was nothing to brag about the tunnel view, curious to see what you got down in the valley. So I hurry home to get some snow

Thanks,
The weather was bad. The pictures came out better than I hoped.

Something strange is up with the first photo. Completely ruins the whole scene IMO. Consider reprocessing it.

I agree with the others about the first one: the processing isn't doing it any favors. I really like the atmosphere of #2.

Beautiful work !!! When you get the wild clouds and weather, it seems you can't see half dome. I guess we can't have it all. Excellent shots.

I'm still confused why you shoot the landscapes in higher ISOs. I am guessing that you are shooting that hawk, then forget to change back. But that's only a guess.

I agree with others about #1. There's a weirdness occuring in the top part of the image.

There is also weirdness in the water reflections in the second one - notice that the tree reflections are not inverted. See especially the darker trees "reflected" at lower left near the rock and the more subtle trees along the lower edge to their right and below the two left rocks.

Odd.

thank you all for checking in.
BTW gdanmitchell, the second one was pratically out of the box, unlike the first one, the second one was minimaly pp.
