Hey everyone, hope your week is going well! Below is a quick senior session I did today before the rain clouds rolled in. Taken on my favorite combo: Nikon D700 w/ the new Sigma 35mm 1.4 - C&C always welcome and appreciated!

Great set except for vertical shots but its just me I am sure he will be thrilled with all of them. #3,4&5 are my favorite from the set but #3 would be best without the gas pipes because the geometry is little off with them in the photo. I enjoyed seeing these!

Cheers!

Konstantin

Thanks Konstantin! I will be cloning out those gas pipes on the final set to him. They are always a problem

great set!

The pose in 9 looks a bit awkward to me - strange arm angle and the b&w conversion makes it look like he's wearing sneakers with slacks. It sticks out to me, as all of the others are very well done!

Err, didn't you know, 35mm should not be used for portraits. There's just too much distortion, can't you tell?

On a serious note, excellent set. Both you and the Siggy performed superbly. Well done.

#2 is my fave, tilt are a little to much for my personal taste. Good solid set for a senior guy.

Good job

Nice set, really like the B&W conversion you went with.

Thank you everyone. Yeah, that 35 is just wayyy to much distortion I finally tweaked my B&W preset enough that is is almost perfect for every image you apply it to. Thanks for the compliments guys.

I enjoyed a lot of these. You have a nice eye for using outdoor settings, and the lighting is very nice.

One thing I noticed is the hands in the pockets over and over again. It gives a certain uncomfortable appearance to the subject. I usually suggest that if the hands are going to be in the pockets, that they try and leave a few fingers out so it doesn't look like their hands have been hacked off at the wrists.

I see what you are saying about the hands in the pockets. He pretty much fell into position like that so I didn't even notice it while it was going on . Thanks for all of the C&C!
