As shown it is difficult to see what you want us to focus on in the image. Face? Jewelry (earring)? Garment? Hands? Cleavage? One Fingernail? My Simple Suggestion: Crop the image to have the bottom edge of frame halfway down the original image. This eliminates the cleavage entirely, eliminates the hand (and single, eye-catching fingernail) and concentrates the viewer's attention on the earring instead. F Put very simply: Focus our attention by composition. Another suggestion: Post the edited photo (cropped as suggested) and ask the forum which composition they prefer when compared sided by side. Some background -This was my first portrait session attempt and comes after a 4 year hiatus from picking up my camera; but no excuses. Looking back at my settings, I have no idea why I was shooting at f2.5! The jacket and earring were the main focus, and it looks like I missed that completely. Here is a quick crop and "normal" white balance (on my uncalibrated screen nonetheless). Steady - now that you mention the fingernail, I can't stop looking at it! Thanks for the suggestions.
