Upload & Sell: On
Ok, so I just got back from picking up a nice Nikon AF-S 24-85mm NON-VR lens for like $210. Lens is in great shape, no marks on the glass, no oil on blades, etc etc. Came with hood and caps.
Anyways, there is dust in the lens, just below the front element (or whatever). I haven't had a zoom (external extended zoom if that makes sense) in years, and realized that dust is probably not uncommon on these lenses - especially on a non sealed lens.
I am NOT going to take this lens apart. I did that last week, and I ended up with a Samyang 14mm II lens .. err.. maybe I will take this one apart..
Seriously though, should I get this taken care of? I took test pictures, and it is sharp and nothing shows up. I bought this lens specifically for my Yosemite trip next weekend, and if I end up keeping it, I may get it cleaned (but if dust will just end up back in there...)
Only thing I am worried about is that the dust may "refract" light - ...
Here are the test images... nothing great - straight from camera
