Hello FM!

My name is Majeed Badizadegan. I've been lurking this forum for quite a while and enjoying the work put forth here (yep, total creeper as you guessed)

. Decided it was time I introduce myself.

I live in Oregon and keep busy photographing the great outdoors. I enjoy landscaping as much as the next guy, but I have a tendency to be a little reckless-- hopefully I don't get myself killed so I can continue doing what I love.

Here's a recent shot of Thor's Well on the Oregon coast. This is one of my favorite spots to shoot. I was standing dangerously close to the amazing, unique geological formation of Thor's Well. I got a little wet, but at least I didn't pee my pants (or fall in)

Welcome, Majeed. Beautiful shot! I was there last year and it was overcast. You got lucky. Just be carefull. Didn't have the guts to get close to it.

I think I commented on this on 500px. Nice shot of Thors'. Ive been there a few times and had a few buddies' get swept off their feet - literally

Most of the time it's overcast at the Oregon coast. It's nice in the winter, when there's some nice weather and I can escape the valley to the coast on a day like this.

Sunny, thanks. I felt the same way, actually. In my blend, one of my shots was a bit crooked, so I ended up rotating the whole canvas a few degrees which made it a bit more cramped then I would have liked.

Also, I'm thinking the future I'd want to shoot this just a bit wider to give me room on both sides/so I can crop to taste. Shooting very wide makes the sun extremely small. So it's a give and take thing.

Yes, it is hard to capture the drama, and keep a wide comp, and stay dry. In this shot I love the drama, and the timing of the sunset is superb.
