Heads up Guys on the latest scam
Super item, super price: Seller offers full details, reassures that there are no dangerous Wire Transfers: They claim to have a contract with Amazon / Paypal and after you send them your shipping information they will send a detailed billing and link for Amazon Payments (or PayPal)...
of course the link is to Nigeria or whatever.
I told the scammer I'm buying for my son who is stationed overseas and am going to send a cashiers check for five thousand more than the purchase price ....
disappointed to report I have not heard back yet ... guess they're checking with their bank ... ya' think?
Take away from this: Always go to the actual payment site; never use a link ...

I listed a Canon 5D2 on Ebay…ONLY to USA buyers…buyer was in Nigeria…

I'm cancelling the transaction…think they are looking for IDs for Paypal, etc. Perhaps not…but since I specifically said it was not going to ship outside USA, I have grounds to cancel it.

janmcn...you can actually go into your ebay settings and block bidders from outside of the U.S., so they can't even place bids on your auctions. I had this same issue and ebay told me to go in and do that.
I like the idea of the scam post too, at the top of the page!!
