Hello all! I'm new to Fred Miranda. I've known about it for a while, but hesitated in signing up because I don't deal well with critique from strangers. I hope to overcome that so that I can grow as a photographer and learn from all of you.
I shot my first wedding in 2001, but didn't know what I was doing until around the summer of 2010. I was thankful to go full time in June of 2012 shooting 37 weddings last year and I have 34 for this year so far (hoping for a few more!). It's awesome to do something I love and support my family while doing it.
I look forward to learning together and connecting with other photographers!
Here is my new site that I just launched over the weekend. There are still a few things to work out...
First, stunning stunning work on your website. Cool of you to come on here and announce that you don't take critique well. Do you think this is because you rate your own work so highly? I've always welcomed critique because I know there's so much I need to learn and improve on.
In any case, your work is really fantastic. Welcome to the forum and I look forward to seeing more posts from you.
Thanks ct8282 for your response! I do welcome critique when it's from people I know care about me and want the best for me, however I don't always handle it well in forums like this because it's sometimes void of relationship and can be harsh. With that said, I do believe that people on forums are more brutally honest than friends and family, and because of that it will help me to grow in ways that I wouldn't otherwise.
Also, like you said, I'm the greatest critic of my work and feel that others will be just as hard on me as I am on myself.
I'm glad you like my work! Thanks for taking the time to head over to my site and check it out.
Tony, you will get to know me plenty well! I'll be that guy at your workshop in March raising my hand every 5 minutes and asking a question. I'll be sure to get my money's worth!

Welcome morby... do you offer a workshop?
Thanks Robin! I'm offering a wedding photography one day workshop on April 6th. 12 spots are taken and 3 are left if you want to check it out. The details are on my website under events. However, it's in PA, which is a long way from CO
