I attended a small meet-up with a few other young photographers in Georgia this past Sunday. (:
Just thought I'd share some of the photos!

These are nice...a bit too much tree action for me.

Nice scenery! Number 9 is a really cool picture.

I don't like the one-eye-in-focus thing you've got going on in #7 and #11. The depth of field looks especially artificial in #7.

You didn't ask for C&C, but here is my friendly nitpicks.

A couple of the tree limbs overpower the subject and distract. (#3/#4)

The DOF in a couple look weird to me, and (#7) kinda gave me a 'she had a stroke' feel.

I liked the set, its location and model variety.

Love them all except for 7 and 11 and this is due to the same comments as above with one eye out of focus. It doesn't look right. The feel and composition of the others is wonderful, however. I think they work well.
The last two with the girl in the water are interesting but they disturb me a little. Maybe that is the intention or what unintentionally makes them successful.

I love these meetup goups and participate of a few. They really open up the shooting opportunities which otherwise would be difficult and costly to put together.

Nice photos!

Fred

For sure! Not sure when I'll be up there again, but I'll let you know. (:

Thanks everyone for the comments and critiques (which I don't mind at all, by the way)!
#1, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 13 are free-lensed (whoa there's a lot). It's interesting to see which ones you all find to be too distracting/noticeable.
The last two photos were another photographer's set-up and concept, and she is known for having darker photos! I'll post a link here when she puts it up. (:

No problem with the number of photos. You have a lot of variety here.

Some nice shots in this set. OTOH, there's several that make me wonder why you kept them.

#2 Blurry stuff on our left
#3 Huge blurred area top right
#4 Huge blurred area top left.
#7 Random blurring that defies reason. One thing blurred and the thing next to it is not.

I'd have pitched these, but want to know what you see that makes you keep them.

#8 Tree making a frame is a good concept. Here, the frame is quite large and detracts from the model a bit. A step farther back, perhaps?

#9. Well done. Best of the set, IMO.

#10. Lens flair and hazy gives a certain look that some like. Try cropping the sky from this one. It gives more impact to the model.

#11. The blurred eye looks odd. The stick isn't helping the shot at all. A distraction, I'd say. And the sticks in the background have a very weird blurring to them.

Jim,

I decided to include the tree elements to try to give a sense of the size and reach of the branches. I also feel like they give a bit more depth to the photo.
As for 7 and 11, free-lensing fits the look I was going for with those (and I was also experimenting with it mostly!).

Thank you for the feedback! (:
