Hi everyone! It has been awhile since I posted an image. I drove close to 1,000 miles last weekend for an overnight trip just to get my fix of the bald eagles which I have never shot before.
This is a daylight shot but post processed it in Lightroom to make the background darker. The lighting on the bird is what it was when I shot it.
Thanks Randy, Tim, Conrad and Ben V. I appreciate it.
Not a big fan too of heavy processing but the eagle's wing blended so much with the tree's branch that I had to do it to give it separation. f/4 wasn't shallow enough. :-(
Randy, yes it is by the eagle's nest on auto row near points six and seven. It'll me busy over there this coming weekend with the Tule Lake Bird Festival and George Lepp leading the workshop.
If you put a mask on the eagle's face it could be a Halloween picture....heading to the ball...interesting effect, the lighting on the bird vs the background is cool looking.
