p.1 #1 · D3 Basketball: University of Wisconsin-Platteville at Whitewater
First time shooting at UW-Whitewater. The gym was lit extremely well. No flash or strobes were used. All were shot with my 7D. Lenses used were 85mm 1.8 and 17-55mm 2.8.
Settings used:
f / 2.0 - f / 2.8
1/640 - 1/800
ISO 2500-3200
I have a pretty good amount of experience shooting sports, but this was one of the first times I had access to the baseline. Critiques are more than welcome.
Thanks!
#1: Luke Knoble chases after a loose ball
#2: Darnell Harris fights to get around his defender
#3: Platteville's coach not happy with what he sees.
#4: Quardell Young launches past his defender to lay it in

some of these arent very sharp. could be many reasons. did you sharpen for web? #7, 1 and #2 are the worst. could be your not the best at tracking then getting lock, or just lackluster AF performance.

I have to admit, I didn't think any of them looked as sharp as I would expect considering the gear used and settings. I'm going to guess it's a web processing issue.
Having said that, I think the action is pretty solid. Keep shooting and posting.

Hmm I tried to fix the ones you mentioned, but I screwed up the order. Let me know if you think these are any better. Thanks for your honest critique.
For reference, the ones he addressed are now #4,5, and 10.
As a point of reference, please don't edit your original post to remove or change photos. After someone's critiqued them and changed them, we don't know the original from the new one. It's good for people to see the change.
