Here's my crack at some symmetry. It is a pretty abstract shot, which I hope is acceptable. To me, it almost looks like a rendering with very simple lighting. I'm pretty new here (and to photography), but I'm hoping for some good practice and growth from these assignments.
This is a clear plastic stand that I typically use for displaying an ammonite. In the photo, it is sitting on a mirror in the dark, with a red LED flashlight pointed parallel to the surface of the mirror, one bright white LED light for accents in the plastic, and one softer LED spot light.
