A bit more credit than I deserve, but so glad you enjoyed it so much Tom.
First, the subject was a scarecrow created for an annual Columbus Day weekend event in the small town of Jaffrey, NH. Residents line the streets with scarecrows. This was one of the best entries, IMO. I have posted a couple of others back in October and, if still interested, they are in my Strange Brew gallery at GoetzPhotoz.smugmug.com. So whoever created this one did a fabulous job.
Second, of course you love it. A solarized image! And it seemed just right for the subject.
Rest was cropping, vignette, exposure corrections, etc. The color version, IMO, is even better.

First, I absolutely love this!
Second, I appreciate your sharing credit with the creator of the scarecrow; he or she did a fabulous job (is it okay for a semi-adult to use the word "fabulous" the way the dictionary intends?) 
That's not to deny the imaginative excellence of your presentation.
