I had a try yesterday to use my newly acquired remote flashing devices with my 5N-adaptor that installs a ISO shoe on the top of my 5N ( of course with the drawback of not being able to use the EVF and flash ) plus my old EZ 540. Now, the first shot worked great, but the following were all black, until I shot with 1/20s exposure time, even if the flash did fire at every shot. Now, what puzzles me here is the fact that I assumed that it would be a problem if the flash would fire before the shot was taken, but for me it seems like it would flash to late. The remote flash devices were the Youngnuo CTR 301 series. Anybody care to explain what actually happens and why the flash is coming late ? Note that even a change to 1/30s leaves the image dark.
