Dead Horse Point is a riveting place. After taking in the view from atop an 800' shear cliff, one turns to see this small Juniper (cedar) tree. It is easy not to notice. This time I was aware and did not walk away. Thanks for looking!

Well done Steve. This shot really jumps out of the screen. I'm not always a bit fan of toning, but this treatment works for me.

Well spotted, Steve. The brown tones work very nicely with this image.

Cheers,

Hey Steve,

What a good catch here. We usually are so busy looking down there, it's easy to miss things like this. I do like the B&W/Sepia toning on this. I have an action I set up in Photoshop to get me my exact favorite toning which is similar to this. I like that it's not B&W but not what is truly called Sepia, at least not to me. It just adds a very nice richness to the monotone look, I like it!

Hi Steve,
I'm glad you noticed it and captured this beautiful image.
The monotone hue and negative space works for me. It gives a sense of isolation.
The tree looks a little soft though...just kidding!
