This is a beautiful head with ball bearings in the pan and arm making it one of the smoothest panning heads if you mainly do bird in flight work. The head is also modular, so it can be broken down to easily put in travel bag as opposed to checked luggage.
The reason I am selling is that while it does have a safety lever lock that is stellar for transport and lens changes, it does not lock down quite as tight if you are doing stills work at odd angles (macro and Astro work). But for birds in flight, I don't think it gets any better than this.
I added one more picture at the end of first reply (8th Picture) that shows the small amount of wear on mounting clamp, and a couple of small nicks on the vertical swing arm. Other than those spots the head is in 9++ condition.
I will cover shipping and Paypal fees
Here is a link to the thread where I purchased it and a couple of review sites on CB site.

This is a nice copy of the older original version of the Wimberley head with the quick release clamp to use Arca Swiss style plates. This is the beefiest and tallest Gimbal out there and the clamp can handle the most massive lenses ever built.
There are a couple of chips in the paint, but it is in pretty good shape. From time to time Wimberley runs trade in offers that allow you to trade this head in for a $300 credit. So if you choose to buy up at a later date, this is a now risk way to try it as my asking price is under $300.
