A last minute decision early this morning to make a 2 hr drive to a location where there are as many as 5 Great Grays. Unfortunately the weather was not so good , and I arrived late for all the flight action and then the weather deteriorated even further . Anyways it was fun to see these guys . There must have been 50 photogs working with the owls. I will head back next week when maybe things are a little quieter.
Good work, Alan. I'd say it was more than worth the two hour drive. Like them both, but that first one is a real wall hanger. I like the comp, textures and driving snow.
Would you care to share the location? I am from michigan so it may be too far. Possible 51 photographers? It sounds like a lot of shooters. Just so they don't get too close. Larryt
That first image is superb. The slight blur of the falling snow really works. It's always tricky (for me at least) as to how I should handle falling snow. Thanks for the lesson. Don
The first shot is amazing... lousy weather made for a striking image... I now prefer environmental images of GGO's more than the ubiquitous flight shots.
