At the end of last weeks cold snap, I took a run to Croton Dam hoping for some ice accreation. There was some, but not nearly what I would have expected from 6 days of well below freezing temps. There seemed to be more in the trees from freezing mist.

Man this is gorgeous.

That deep leaden gray water, rich browns and tans on the brick wall, and that gorgeous white spray and rhime on the rocks... LOVE that color palatte.

That said, I have to agree with _Rob_S_, this would look pretty sweet in B&W. You might give it a try.

Thanks all. It was about 15F when I took these, with a slight breeze. I've been colder, but I was moving around and well dressed for the temps so it wasn't bad. By the time I left, it was a balmy 20F, almost didn't need gloves.
