Yeah...that's pretty awesome. Will have to of course wait for pricing and to see how good it is wide open. The 17.5/0.95 was mighty impressive to me, so this is certainly nice. Man...shooting at f/0.95 for portraits is a low light candid machine in a very small package. Nice. With the OM-D, you'll be able to shoot non-moving stuff in super dim light at relatively normal ISOs with the IBIS. Like, 1/20s, ISO 1600 at f/0.95 vs. 1/80s, ISO 10,000 at f/1.2 for something like a 5D III with 85L.

All my portraits taken at 1/20 are wonderful. Some of them, taken with the CV lenses, also have a purple/magenta cast all over them. Can't wait...

Really, this is interesting and I hope we'll be able to see your review not far from now! Here is hope for a good performer (for example not as soft and with not so harsh bokeh as the little Pen 42/1.2 I tried)! And how can it be judged when compared to the micro Zuiko 45/1.8 - if it is OK to compare to something 2 stops slower?

Nice! Will be interesting to see how good the color correction is.

IBIS is handy, I miss it in the NEX system. Time for Canon to release an 85mm f/2 IS that I can use with the SpeedBooster
That being said, I have made many sharp handheld candids with the 85mm f/1.8 at 1/20 sec without image stabilisation.

I probably won't buy this, as I'm not a huge fan of the focal length. I tend to like a longer portrait lens in the 50-75mm range on m4/3. I will try and get a review sample at some point, though.

When I want really shallow DOF in a manual lens, my Hexanon 57/1.2 works great for me. That said, it is exciting from a system point of view.

Oh, and while pictures of kids at 1/20 aren't great, stationary adults are fine, though I guess I would shoot for 1/50 or so if I could get it in dim light, and 1/200 if I've got lots of light.

Its supposedly non-asph lens. Might have very nice bokeh (and be bit softy).

I hope you manage to lay your hands on a copy somehow.

That's three samples only so one can't really judge the lens from those. To my eyes it seem as we have the same ugly bokeh character here as we have seen earlier from the CV 25/0.95. I hope the Panasonic 43/1.2 will be different.

It says 25/0.95 above the images.

Yes, that was apparently an error and will be corrected.

Honestly, the samples are completely useless, it is not a macro lens. They should have made some portraits instead.

I have to disagree, they are only of limited interest, not completely useless.
And of course, buying a camera and mount a brand new super fast lens to it just for shooting another camera with another super fast lens mounted to it somehow reminds me about navels. They can use me for a model if they want.

Okay, yes. You are right. They are useful to anyone wanting to use a short non-macro tele for macro or product photography

...and for somebody interested in seeing how the lens will render background OOF highlights (admittedly with the lens set to a very short distance but I don't think it will change a lot). No smiley this time... I very much dislike the shape of those and they make me think of the CV25/0.95. Ouch. At an earlier stage I had some hopes for this lens.

But boke at such short distances is really an extreme situation. It might be indicative, it might not. Let's wait and hope for better results at the distance it is designed for.
