My technique was quite tedious. After loading to Lightroom4 I would do white balance, zero out the sharpening and noise reduction sliders. Sometimes I crop here and then transfer to PS6. A duplicate layer is made, curves used to make sure white and black points are set, add Chads cool/hot action, do noise reduction either selectively on the background or globally and then reduce within a mask, then sharpen and possibly do focal sharpening if necessary. There may also be some cloning and spot removal that takes place then I save at highest resolution as jpg.. Normally this takes a few minutes per image but I am finding this is just too much work. So, I with some good fortune that has come my way totally revamped the process.
There are a number of variations on the theme and i am sure you can find one what works best. This is my new workflow:
First I hijack my wife's Dropbox folder, place 40-100gb of RAW images in Dropbox, next send to Conrad Tan, then have a glass of Cabernet or a beer, watch hockey or reruns of "Caught in the Act" 😉.. I.catch up on lost sleep 😴😴😴😴and just like the old days when you couldn't wait to get those Kodak slide boxes wait anxiously by the computer for them magically to appear. And my thanks to tha Great Grey Owl for making this all possible.
Speedy recovery CT 😷but not until my 3TB hard drive has been fully processed😄
Oh just 1 photo to legitimize the post.
