I'll be in Napa from 2/3 to 2/6. Any tips on great spots this time of year for landscape shooting as well as architectural spots?

It's going to depend on weather. Take your camera and car and head up Siverado Trail on the east side of the valley. Look for scenic views across the valley as the road rises and falls along the edge.

The valley narrows as you approach Calistoga at the North end of the valley and there are roads that cross the valley between Silverado Trail and Hwy 29 on the west side. Lots of great vineyard views from those cross valley roads.

Try for dawn photos if the sky is clear, because there is little danger of early AM marine-layer fog at this time of year. Dawn with the mist rising from the dormant vineyards always makes a nice picture for my.

Oh yeah, remember that the vines are bare and probably already cut back at this time of year. No rows of green, grape-laden vines in Feb.

Thanks Chas. I'll definitely consider these.
