No scratch or dents. There is a slight crack on the clear plastic which was there when I bought the lens brand new (never been dropped!). Between house moves, I lost the box and paperwork though.
I have included some sample shots from the lens. Simply a great lens, but I've replaced it with the 70-200 F2.8 II IS.
