I had two strobes covering 5 mats. 70-200 for the three closest, and the 24-70 for the mat right in front of me, and my 120-300 for the far mats. I had to shoot the far mats at 2.8 and the close mats at 4/4.5, so that might explain the flash feel to a couple. Jan 30, 2013 at 10:51 PM

We have shot various state wrestling championships on the youth side (U6, U8, U10) now for all most 5 years. We are shooting the Team Georgia Little Kids State Wrestling State Championships in Atlanta on March 9th. There are about 12 mats. I was wondering if there is an appropriate location on the forum to post shooting opportunities ? We have our 4 senior photographers but this event is more than the 8 mat events we shoot. There were times there was a 120lb match going on on one mat and a 135 on another and then like a heavyweight on another mat. Very hard to keep track by myself, but if we had a shooter a mat, that would be killer, or a shooter or two per weight class.... capo99, there were times I was just a foot or two away from their heads for the low shots...thankfully I was BSing with the refs before the meet and they let me get pretty close.
