In Georgia, USA these are called snowdrops.

I think this could be mistaken identity.

Whitebells are a variety of Bluebell.

I think it may be Leucojum vernum Spring Snowflake.

Snowdrops are Galanthus and the flower is more like that of a Narcisus.

I just call these things whitebells- definitely not snow drops- they have multiple flowers on a stem upto 18 inches tall.

After shooting these early beauties in a friend's garden, I'm pretty sure she called them "Snowdrops". Google informs me that others call them snowdrops, too. Still looking for the name, but I do think they are not snowdrops. Do I re-caption my print?

Now if I could only learn to make a photo like yours!

Snowdrops Galanthus have two rings of tepals, the inner ring trumpet-like. The related genera have one ring:

Thanks, Harold. That page and a couple of others found by Google did convince me that the flowers I shot in a friend's garden aren't snowdrops. Her flowers are exactly the one's LordV has shown here. They are incorrectly called "snowdrops" by a fair number of people in this area. That number was reduced by two yesterday.
