Hi FM,

I'm putting together a new website and am going through several engagement shoots to pick a portfolio of sorts.

I'm wondering if you would PICK YOUR FAVORITE THREE IMAGES and EXPLAIN WHY for each selection, I would be ever so appreciative.

I like 1, 7 and 8

Hard to describe why, they just stand out to me as the strongest shots

13 is a close runner-up

5 is an 'almost' but the direction of his eyes rule it out for me.

10 is also nice but DOF is too shallow, I wish he was in focus too.

1, 8, and 10......i wanna like 12, but the crop is a little awkward....and i like 14, but wish he was smiling more

1, 10 (maybe with a little more sharpening) and 13. I like 16 more than 13, if it were processed a bit differently, with more of the same tone as the one directly below it (17.)

Why? Who knows. They caught my eye. That's the point of portfolio images anyway, right?

Show great connection between then, they are fun, good color, and give you what I would call "substance"
Actually they are all really nice save for the last one.

The laughing ones are my favorites overall.

What I think really detracts in some of these is the shallow depth of field while not having the two faces on the same plane so one is prominent in the frame but blurry. Def. don't care for those...

7 and 12/13/14....I like the natural interaction those.

8 is nice but he's engaged completely while she looks bored. If her eyes were closed that would be a winner.

8 - evokes emotion (would be better with her eyes closed)
10 - just like the depth of field and attention it draws to the girl.
12 - Cropped like 13 (no car), great moment.

1- emotion feels very real, faces are both in focus

8- I like the composition. Pose is relaxed.

12- I love idea that they are just out front of their house. Not sure on the car, but this just does for my. YMMV

1 - 10 - 13 are my top three.

I'd like 8 more if there was more pop to the couple - great photo but its not "all about the couple" in my opinion.

11. I like your work, but I feel like your crops are all just a tiny bit off. Just a little to tight. or the comps are
pushed a little to far one way or the other.
