It was a long weekend of shooting, luckily there was some nice action to capture. Anyways onto the set up. For this tournament we were at 2 rinks, 1 set up had 4 Einsteins and 1 had 4 White Lightning 1600s. I was on the rink with the WLs, they were set to full power and were bounced off a horrible dark brown/grey ceiling. Shot at ISO 500 1/250th, f4-f5. Below is a diagram on where the lights are set (X)s and where I was (O). The rink was set just like this diagram, benches on one side, penalty boxes and scorer on the other. Figure for this rink the easy access was on the benches, normally I like to shoot from the penalty box as its normally less crowded , except on this rink the only way to the box was on the ice and that doesn't work when trying to get images up right after the game. Figure they print a little warm and the less processing time the better. Sozypozy not quite sure what you are asking? White Balance or Light balance? White balance can be changed... light balance not sure what you mean. Also are you saying they aren't punchy enough?? If so figure these are straight OOC with just cropping done to them, if anything I probably would have boosted the vibrance/saturation and tweaked the curves a little. Thanks Frank. Appreciate it! And do you find certain areas on the ice that are lit better than others? And if not what is the best way to evenly light the sheet of ice with this setup? Thanks in advance for the help.
