We had dense fog in Seattle, as well as on the drive up there, but luckily the fog had held off the area we were shooting. Despite the lack of the aurora, Chuck had brought his huge telescope with him so we could get some photos of the moon with the camera adapter. It looks a deeper blue than his jeans lit by white light. I might tone down the light on his pants; it competes for attention with the light on his face. All in all, though, this is a really fine image. I've been meaning to try some light painting myself.
