p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Is this to much PP?

I don't usually do much to my images in terms of post processing. When shooting "portraits" I prefer natural light and limited depth of field and just some basic adjustments in post. I have Portrait Professional software and took a quick image of my daughter today and then played around with the Portrait Professional software and came out with the image below. I know it's not an award winner but in terms of skin smooting, eyes, etc, would you say this is ok or bordering on to much. Looking for opinions I know there is not one right answer.

Thank you,
Jack

To be honest I can't see much difference.

Post at 800-900 pixels on the long side (minus the white borders) for us to get a really good look at the differences. From what I see, you did a good job smoothening out her skin and it works really well for me.

Why would you consider this too much pp? Looks like standard pp for portrait work and I'd say you've done a good job.

My Simple Suggestion: If you are asking for opinions about something that is related to details (such as skin texture or eyes) it helps to post a photo that is large enough to show the details in question.

So, in this case, I suggest you crop to show just the face and post the before/after and ask for opinions.

I do not mean a huge photo of just an eye.

So I suggest crop the head alone to size about 800 pixels tall and then post it so it shows side-by-side with the edit.

Thank you for the feedback so far. It's not that I think it's to much PP it's more that I'm trying to maintain a more natural look and avoid what I perceive to be the over the top mannequin look with eyes that are impossibly white and enhanced to an almost alien appearance.

I think it the image strikes a good balance between PP and keeping things "natural-looking." It looks good to me.

Did you ask her what she thought? Honest thought?

Looks quite mild in terms of processing and I think it's fine. Agree with other comment that moles and freckles should be left alone.

I'd say it is right on the money. Personal portraits are something that too much processing can be offensive. What you have done is quote flattering.
