Decided to have some fun the other day with self portraits now that my hair is way too long and I need to shave. Now I can't really decide which of these I like the most. Figured I'd share:


(Lit with a b800 and a small umbrella for the key, with a 30* gridded b800 as a high hair light in the back)

What are the strongest 3, in your opinion(s)? I'm trying to pick a mix of smoking and non smoking ones.

They are all nice and well executed. 6 & 8 would be my choices if a choice were required to select, and 7 is the only shot that I thought was not good enough to be in your series.

You are right! Really difficult to choose which one is the best, all of them are great. Number 1 and 2 work the best for me. I especially love how in picture number 2 your eye sockets are dark and not visible, that is my favorite part This image is copyrighted by the owner

All very nice, only #2 is too dark in the eyes for me, 6 is fantastic ! Really classical / historic (how do I say in english?) look.

I remember the other smoking set you took. These are great too. I would go with #2 for the non-smoking but brimstone devil look. And #8 for the smoking side.

#8 for sure, man. Great shot. Love the muted tones.

#1 doesn't quite have the muted tones that the others have. Any reason why for that edit?
