Hey Mark,

I like this view. The snowy foggy look really gives this a very wintery feel.

What a lovely winter scene, and nicely captured, Mark. I'd be tempted to crop off some of the bottom to better anchor the barn. Perhaps to the top of the grasses on the right side of the image. Just a thought.

Cheers,
Ed

Beautiful composition. Really like the wRm grasses contrasting against the cold bleak background.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I really appreciate it.
Funny Ed, I was torn with that idea and wasn't sure.
I do think I like your idea or somewhere in the middle, thanks.

Mark,

thanks for sharing. Nice composition!

I like the tall grasses in the bottom left foreground - they add a rich, brown to not quite burn sienna color, which really expands the palette into warmer colors against the snow / gray sky.

That said, Jim's suggestion about cropping to anchor the old barn is a good one - I positioned the image at the bottom of my browser (poor man's crop) and it really brings the barn forward while still giving it that "small building in a big world" ambiance.

cheers, JMF

Thanks again,
I have posted the suggested crop.
I think it does work well.
