p.1 #1 · (in-camera) Lens profiles for unsupported EF lens (6D)

I just got a 28-105/3.5-4.5 USM off KEH for silly cheap.
I was looking forward to using it on my 6D, as I figured any (to be expected) falloff or color fringing would be corrected in-camera using the lens profile.
Boy, was I wrong. Camera tells me that there is no profile for this lens. Is the MKII supported? They are the same optically, just one extra aperture blade on the second version.
Is there any way for me to load/force a lens profile?

You can make a custom profile for PP. I'd do it in PS CS6.

Ugh that'll work great in Chrome OS.

I was hoping for an in camera solution, as that was part of the allure with the newer canons.

Canon cameras and Canon software will only allow tweaks for recognized lenses and Canon decides which those are.

I know you want in-camera but you could build a profile in post:

For Mac:

http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5489

For Windows:

http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=193&platform=Windows

It's a bit involved but you only have to do it once.

I have a windows desktop that I don't use anymore, and it has cs2/light room on it.
I do most my computing on a nexus tablet and chromebook.
I essentially don't edit. Straight jpeg shooting and uploading... Hence my need for in camera

Looks like the camera only ships with certain profiles "active", and I should be able to go into EOS Utility and load more.

Thank you Ken Rockwell, you're the best!

It still doesn't have all EF lenses though. My awful EF 35-80 is left out (among others). It probably needs the correction the most!

Looks like the 28-105 USM is there though. That is what I was looking for.

you could use PTlens. It works as a stand-alone app, or as a Photoshop plugin.
I use PTlens for lenses not supported in DPP or Photoshop.
