Stage left and beyond probably 3,000 more waiting in da cough wings

So we position ourselves
upwind by the side of the road, disguised as bundled hairy trees with black branches. Hey, it worked!

The weather guy got right: 30' surface winds from the SSW. Damn if they didn't start bankin' @30-40'
providing great ops for several hours. Credit my BushHawk with the assist...thanks for the visit.

(apologies for the plain blue skies...ya can't have EVERYTHING)

No apologies needed for the blue skies -- the low winter sunlight makes these work just fine. Nice shootin', Will.

Nailed them good Will. I like them all but the double wins the day. Looks like a lot of DOF for f/5.0 nice sharp details.

Howdy, Mark...thanks! This was about 100' North of where we shot from. Probably 7 or 8K total on hand!

Sure appreciate it, Rob. This was in DX mode so the 300 appeared like 450...and some heavy crops to boot.
f5 is my sweet spot with this lens so I was lookin' at maybe ~6' DOF at these distances.

Nice set, love those flybys !! Every time I see shots of Bernies it makes me want to head back down again. Sorry I never got a chance to call you last month when I was there, seems like the week just flew by.
