I photographed a family for the first time - who are 2 of my friends who recently had their first child. It was extremely hard trying to get this baby to smile, which reminds me why I chose sports photography over portraiture.

Nikon D3s
70-200mm f/2.8 VR II
(2) SB 600 speedlites
Yongnuo 560 II speedlite
22" beauty dish
(2) 24x24 gridded softboxes
white foam board (for bounce light)

Quick Comments:

Photographing infants can be a challenge.

The parents look happy, so good expressions shown on them.

The father's smile in image 3 is very nice.

These are good shots, but I think they need to be lightened up a bit.
