D, YOU could probably use a polaroid and get shots like this!! Nonetheless, congrats on the new CAMERA body (I initially left out the word 'camera' in this coment and then realized what a bad idea that would be). You've got that thing tuned in alright!!!

No easy exposure there and yours is spot on. Speaking of techs, the Scoter could not be any better, exposed to kill and sharp from tip to tail And then a Kirk trademark, an excellent mud sucker. I am am in the same boat. Have D300 and 300mm F4 AF-S. Picked up the D800 and am loving it. Your pics look great! I need the TC now so I can get the reach back I lost going to the FX!
I shoot Canon, but these photos really make me want to go back to Nikon! Yikes, that is sooooooooooooo expensive! Congrats on the new cam and beautiful photos.
