p.1 #1 · Is it ok to shoot at a NHL practice

http://sabres.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=649846 This was just posted and I'm debating going or not. Is it ok to shoot with a DSLR without a press pass. Only asking because they wont let you shoot during the games without a press pass.

I think you have two options here since the release had no photo info in it:

1) Call the office and ask if they will allow you to shoot

2) take the camera and be prepared to return it to your car if you are denied access with it on.

This might be your best chance to make option #2 actually work well too, the NHL and players want you to be there, without remorse due to the lockout/strike.

Yeah, I think the NHL will be pretty lax with fans and what they want to do this year. I am still debating if I want to go for the Avs....

I went to the Bruins practice on Sunday at the TD Garden- no problem at all with a 70-200. I even got to use a photo hole because the shooters for the papers and wires were shooting from the bench.

I was at Toronto's yesterday (but I'm credentialed).

We haven't been given our 2012-13 Media passes yet so just be prepared to do #2.
